Course Description: The meaning and development of the concept of culture, culture-space interaction, social space, absolute space and abstract space, space and place, cultural mapping, reflexive space, global culture, post-modern urban space, virtual space and the city. Course Objectives: To understand theory and approaches of human geography and sociology of the city develops. To develop skills in understanding and analyzing urban space. To comprehend the main arguments of contemporary urban intellectuals.
