Course Description

Course Description: The textile industry is one of the sources of various environmental problems, and researchers have discovered that tons of toxic waste, including dye waste, are discarded into the rivers by the textile industry and pollute the water. The use of synthetic chemicals in textile production poses a threat to people as well as natural life. Therefore, instead of dangerous chemicals in textile products, alternatives that cannot harm the environment should be used. In this course, alternative chemicals, methods and application techniques for dyeing and finishing will be discussed. Course Objectives: 1. To examine eco-friendly processes in textile dyeing and finishing. 2. To examine ecological preparation, characterization and application methods in different textile processes. 3. To evaluate the use of new technologies in dyeing and finishing processes for different kind of fiber.
