Description

Two training activities will take place around the game. The first one before the game, aimed at explaining the scientific bases of the geo-hydrological hazard that they will “suffer” in the simulation, how it is identified, its’ types, and studies to understand it. The second, after the game, will collect reflections, impressions, doubts, and will reinforce the meaning of resilience as a fundamental part of risk mitigation through the reduction of social, economic, cultural, environmental, etc. vulnerability.

As the core of the activity, we will use in-person role-playing games to give participants a taste of what it takes to build community resilience in the face of disaster. Players work together to make decisions and solve problems during an engaging, fast-paced disaster simulation.
