Description

The “Master program on AI for public services (AI4Gov)” is a project from three leading European Universities in AI and its delivery into public services. Together they currently deliver high-quality technology, e-government, public administration, design thinking and digital transformation education to more than 100,000 students.

The universities in the consortium (Politecnico di Milano, Tallinn University of Technology, and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid) and the centres of excellence in AI (Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU)) have a shared vision and are designing and delivering a world-class master’s program on the use of AI in public service delivery. This new program will boost the public sector’s capacity in managing, understanding, and developing AI related projects and services in the hope that they will improve the provision, effectiveness, and value of public services throughout European society.

The program’s core objectives are providing education on: (i) the management of AI-based public services, (ii) the usage of AI in public administration’s operations, and (iii) the governance of AI in the public sector and for the delivery of public services to society. The overall expected outcome culminates in the education of functional specialists in both AI and public services.
