Course Description: Urban public transportation and its characteristics, Public transport supply facilities and differences from individual transport, Bus operation systems, Urban rail transportation systems, Planning and design of public transportation systems, Public transportation operators and the coordination between them, New technologies and applications. Course Objectives: Grasping the importance of public transportation systems in urban transportation. Learning the components of the public transportation systems in details. Having adequate knowledge in planning, design and construction of public transportation systems. Learning the organizational structure and operational alternatives of public transportation systems.
