Description

The activity is proposed as a teaching innovation project that will integrate the didactic itinerary of two subjects from two UPM Schools: on the one hand, the subject from the University Master’s Degree in Urban and Territorial Planning (ETSAM): “Theory and practice of urban regeneration in the European framework “; on the other hand, the subject “Project Management ” from the degree in Engineering and Telecommunication Systems.

The objective is the introduction of the digitalization process in the urban regeneration of disadvantaged neighborhoods. Students can:

be an agent of their own learning process;
learn from each other;
carry out learning within a multidisciplinary framework;
develop the practical work of then full contact wih and facing the real problems in vulnerable neighborhoods.

The PSL Paris University will collaborate with us in the course. Its students and teachers will conduct a similar training itinerary, which allows students from both universities to exchange knowledge and reflect together on the practical work they are doing. This type of activity was put into practice within the UPM ApS Project “Urban Resilience Classroom” during the 2020-21 academic year, being highly valued by the students from PSL Paris and UPM.
