Description

In November 2022, EELISA DISCOVERY and research community UPM TULE will organize the seminar “Transforming school environments and university campuses into resilient and healthy places through NBS” in the framework of the program UPM Seminars, promoted by the Vice-Rector’s Office for Research, Innovation, and Doctorate of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. The session will be organized by the UPM Research Communities “Colaboratorio” and “Transition towards an Emissions-Free University” (TULE UPM), the UPM EELISA Community “DISCOVERY” involving members from UPM, ITU and UPB, Madrid City Council, Valladolid City council and other stakeholders that will be defined in the next future.

The seminar will be organized around the following specific themes, all of them related with the use of Nature-based solutions:

Ameliorating rainwater and greywater treatment
Improving acoustic absorption
Reducing urban heat island effect
Promoting healthy habits by playing sports

Deliverables: A short report of the activity will be delivered to the organizing team of the activity.

Assessment: Participation to the whole activity
