Course Description

Course Description: Nanotechnology is regarded as the technology revolution of the 21. Century and also plays a major role in the solution of problems encountered in the treatment of industrial wastewater. Within the scope of this course, graduate students will gain knowledge in subjects including structural features of nanocatalysts, synthesis and characterization, environmental impacts, recent applications in industrial wastewater treatment, performance and economic analysis. Course Objectives: 1. To gain knowledge about recent developments and innovative applications of nanocatalytic treatment processes in wastewater treatment. 2. Be familiar with the preparation/synthesis method and impacts of nanocatalysts, state-of-the-art of nanocatalytic treatment processes. 3. To communicate successfully in the area of nanoscience and nanotechnology interfacing with environmental chemistry, industrial wastewater treatment and environmental engineering.
